Media still talks about Lindsay's 'Be Adequite'

Lindsay Lohan's publicist fired back at the media Thursday, saying journalists had crossed a line by mocking a heartfelt letter the actress wrote following director Robert Altman's death last week.
Spokeswoman Leslie Sloane said the note -- which one columnist suggested was composed by Lohan on "one of her legendary party benders" -- was instead dashed off by the distraught 20-year-old actress on a Blackberry, moments after she learned Altman had died.
Altman, who died on November 20 at age 81, directed Lohan in the last film of his career, "A Prairie Home Companion."
"When I got the reports that he had died, I reached Lindsay on her cell phone, and she had no idea. She was devastated. She started crying," Sloane told Reuters. "She quickly put something together on her Blackberry."
"Here was a girl who found something special in this man that she felt so close to," Sloane said. "And she was completely shocked and blown away that he just died. It was written very quickly and it was from the heart."
Lohan titled her November 21 e-mailexternal link "Dead is hard, Life is much easier," a quote she attributes to actor Jack Nicholson. In it, she sent condolences to Altman's family, adding, "I feel as I've just had the wind knocked out of me."
The film star, who is estranged from her father, also describes Altman as "the closest thing to my father and grandfather that I really do believe I've had in several years."
Days after the missive was made public, Los Angeles Times columnist Patt Morrison ridiculed it on a Web site as "alarmingly incoherent," apparently referring to misspellings and grammatical errors by Lohan, and wrote that Altman himself might find it "comedic."
Andrew Gumbel wrote in the London Independent that the letter, which ends with the odd sign-off "Be Adequite," had become the talk of Hollywood.
"Was the actress on a misguided -- and utterly botched -- quest for publicity, exploiting the death of a revered director for her own purposes?" Gumbel wrote. "Had she been on one of her legendary party benders? Or was this Exhibit A for the indictment of America's education system?"
Other media quickly picked up on the story, an example of what Sloane said was a steady drumbeat of derisive stories about Lohan in the tabloids, which often focus on her penchant for parties and nightclubs.
"It's enough already," she said. "Everybody has got to get a life. People need to get off her back."

Stop it guys! Everyone has a right to feel whatever he/she feels and express it through words. It's not like we all have to be Wilde's, duh. She just felt that way, get over it already.

While Paris is away

Britney gets some advice how to be real plastic from Paris Hilton's mean and trashy boyfriend Brandon Davis . Hate that guy, he looks so stuck up. Or f'ck up, whatever. And totally Paris Hilton look-a-like, only little darker. Britney run, while you can!

Miss December shopping

Here's Brit yesterday, shopping for some cleaning supplies. X17online (those people are crazy) spotted her leaving a Malibu CVS with a full load of paper towels and fresh issue of People. Poor Britney, don't read it.

Keira rolled around yesterday in London with her hubby, looking for right place to land.

The Other Boleyn Girl

This film is going to be so awesome, can't wait to see it already. And now we have the first picture to get a little glimpse of it. Two sisters, Natalie Portman plays Anne Boleyn and Scarlett Johansson is Mary Boleyn.

The Other Boleyn Girl is a historical novel written by British author, Philippa Gregory, based on the life of 16th-century aristocrat, Mary Boleyn. Reviews were mixed; some said it was a brilliantly claustrophobic look at the palace life in Tudor England, others weren't convinced. In 2004 an American reviewer wrote that, “For the most part, the two Boleyn sisters get on like a couple of catty sorority girls. Given the tone of the novel you're half-expecting Anne to light up her cigarette, whip out this month's edition of Vogue and then listen to Mary take the Cosmo sex quiz… Scintillating, provocative historical literature... it ain't!” Even so, it has enjoyed phenomenal success and popularity since its publication in 2002 and has spawned four sequels - The Queen's Fool, The Virgin's Lover, The Constant Princess and The Boleyn Inheritance. from wikipedia
